Kiss a Tree

wake up with a headache
stumble to the sink
drink the cool elixer
start to start to think

longjohns on and light the fire
check the snow outside
open wide the backporch door
tickle in the eyes

a faceful of sunshine
sneeze the night away
tromp outside and kiss a tree
thanks for a winter day
